Hagg Lake
Arrived at the lake at 8:00 a.m. It was quite foggy and chilly, temperature in the low 40's. Water level has been drawn down significantly. Launched from boat ramp A and began trolling toward the dam. Action almost right away, worked this section for the first hour or so, then the bite died. Decided to relocate to the west side of lake, in front of Sain Creek area, action right away again. We had our two limits of trout about 11:00 a.m., we must have "long lined released" at least twice that amount. I am grateful that this park is now open year round, giving restless anglers another option in the local area.
Most successful lure was the Tasmanian Devil, available at JedWelshFishing.com, fished about 50 ft behind the boat, using a 1/4 oz in line lead weight to get some depth. I purchased these at the Portland Sportsman's Show a few years ago, best colors were red and pink.
