Fishing Report: Hagg Lake Report January 7th

I Went to Hagg Lake on Sunday, only got 2 trout, not big, but legal size. 4 rods for about 4 hours, about 8:00 a.m. to noon. Fished Lake Trolls with wedding ring spinners, Tasmanian Devils, spinners, streamers, crawfish imitations. IDK same thing did a few weeks ago and got 10 lost about 20, think water temp may have gone down, with the recent cold weather. Oh well, it is fishing not catching right?

A bright note however, was that we caught one of the two trout, and lost another on a Tasmanian Devil lure, trolled about 4’ behind one of the first flashers I recently, ever, made.  It is smaller than the standard 8” flasher (it is only 6.5"), as I had a left over piece of plastic.

6.5" scrap plastic and tape flasher in combo with Tasmania Devil got one and lost one.

Field tested some 8” flashers that I made while at Hagg Lake, compared to spin of popular brands, in a side by side test, no perceptible difference.  

I will be having flashers for sale in the shop section shortly, after some more field testing/fishing.
