Hagg lake was stocked on March 2nd, with 12,000 trout, and Sunday was forecast to be sunny.
Finally, ocean conditions aligned with a time I could take a vacation day and go fishing.
The season is definitely winding down, but there are still Salmon in the river.
Friday was awesome! Launched at 10am, dropped crab pots caught limits of coho for my wife and myself and then picked up crab pots for full limits on both of us. We were back at RV with catch by 1pm. Saturday produced coho limits for Todd and myself and a couple mackeral.
I love this fishery, the takedowns are awesome, since you are trolling about 3 miles per hour, to get the correct action on the pro troll. Also, if a fish does not stick, you do not have to reel up and check bait.
