The Simon 360 Breakaway System is made with NiTi #1 titanium wire, stainless steel snaps/rings, and magnets specifically formulated for use in fresh or salt water. This system is designed to pull herring and spinners but sensitive enough to release every time a fish strikes. Fighting the fish and not the flasher will dramatically increase your landing ratio. Several of the anglers I fish with, myself included, feel that this system changes the rotation of the 360 degree flasher being used, which is a major drawback. The first time I fished with this, I noticed that the action on my rod tip seemed different. I initially assumed this to be due to the fact it was a very windy day, making a straight downhill troll difficult.

Instead of using wire, utilizing 150 lb monofilament, with leader sleeves has proven very successful. This, I believe, allows the flasher to move with much more freedom.
