Bubba Blade ★★★★★

I purchased the Bubba Blade 9" tapered blade flex fillet knife for $54.95 sale price, regular price $64.95.  This is a high quality blade which makes filleting salmon quite easy.  The no slip handle is really a no slip handle.  Great knife, I have also used it for filleting bottom fish such as ling cod and black rockfish.  It works great for these fish too, but I may be inclined to purchase the 7" blade to fillet these type of fish.  

So $54.95 sounds like a lot of money for a fillet knife, well, I can assure you the 36 or 48 knifes I have collected over the years cost much more than that, was never 100% happy with any of them.  This is a very similar situation to the review of Simms gear I have done.  Spend money one time on a quality product, rather than repetitive buying of discounted, on sale, too good to pass up pricing.  

I am 100% happy with the knife, it is so sharp compared to other knifes I have that I find myself being very cautious not to fillet towards any of my own body parts, probably a good idea!
