Siltcoos Lake: Near Florence Oregon

For almost 20 years we have been going to Siltcoos Lake near Florence Oregon. We in the past always rented a cabin for our stay. Now with th RV we went to Darlings Marina and RV Resort . We enjoyed our stay, easy to reserve online. Clean facilities, strong WiFi, Cable and excellent BBQ at the onsite cafe and friendly staff and locals. AT&T cell service was lacking in the area but Verizon seemed to be fine.

You can rent Kayak, paddle boards, fishing boat, jet skis from the marina to extend your activities.

Area of interest:

• Dunes for Sand boarding and sand buggy rides always a good time.

• Florence boardwalk, nice small town atmosphere some good restaurants and of course BJ’s ice cream.

• Jessie M Honeyman State Park - ride on sand boards, rent a paddle boat, swim and play in the area.

• Brown Hen Cafe - on Hwy 101 good food, fair price, busy but handled the flow well.

• Beach Access at various locations:

  • Siltcoos Beach Day Use - you have to hike a big hill to get there but less people on this beach.

  • South Jetty State Park multiple beach access points, often surfers near the jetty point. There is a staging area and sand hill you can watch ORV climb.

  • North Jetty - county park beach access no hills to climb

  • Haceta Beach north of Florence parking area and easy beach access, there is a hotel near by so a little busier beach.
